A temple related to the Asano family, where the weeping cherry tree planted by Oishi Kuranosuke and the memorial tower of Asano Takumi no Kami's lawful wife are located

This is the family temple of the Asano clan, established in 1633 (Kan'ei 10) by Asano Nagaharu, the founder of the Miyoshi clan. Within the temple grounds you can find a weeping cherry tree hand-planted by Oishi Kuranosuke Yoshio, the Gishi-do Hall which houses wooden statues of the 47 loyal retainers setting out, the Yosen-in Remains of a Hair Tower belonging to the wife of Asano Takumi-no-kami Naganori, the lord of Ako clan, and stone statues of Yosen-in and Nagaharu, which were erected during the Gishi Festival in December 1999 (Heisei 11). Another highlight is the elegant garden Gugokusen, which uses Mt. Hikuma as a backdrop.
