A temple related to the Asano family, where the weeping cherry tree planted by Oishi Kuranosuke and the memorial tower of Asano Takumi no Kami's lawful wife are located

It is a family temple of the Asano family built in 1633 (Kanei 10) by Choji Asano, the founder of the third clan. In the precincts, there are "Weeping cherry blossoms" hand-planted by Oishi Yoshio, "Gishi-do" where a wooden statue imitating the appearance of 47 Yoshishi is enshrined, and "Yozen-in hair tower" in the regular room of Asano Naganori, the lord of the Akaho domain. In addition, a stone statue of Yozen-in and Naganori was erected at the Gishi-sai in December 1999. Another highlight is the elegant garden "Kogokusen" with the view of Mt. Higuma.
