Edohigan with a chest-to-trunk girth of more than 5m is rare in western Japan, and is of scientific value.
This is one of the three Tojo cherry trees. It is a species of Edohigan, and with a trunk circumference of over 4.5m at chest height, it is the third largest in Hiroshima Prefecture and is designated as a natural monument of the prefecture.
