Edohigan with a chest-to-trunk girth of more than 5m is rare in western Japan, and is of scientific value.

It is one of the three cherry blossoms in Tojo. The type is Edohigan, which has a trunk circumference of over 4.5 m and is considered to be the third largest in Hiroshima prefecture, and is designated as a natural monument of the prefecture.

Car From the Tojo IC on the China Expressway, take Route 314 toward Saijo for about 15 minutes, and turn left at the information signboard 500 meters north of the Kawatori Post Office.
