Challenge the traditional craft "bamboo work" under the guidance of craftsmen
At any one time, several craftsmen are working on making bamboo crafts such as bamboo baskets and ornaments, and in addition to tours, the products are on display and available for sale. Those interested can take part in a "bamboo craft experience" where they can make bamboo baskets, bamboo dragonflies, and other bamboo crafts under the careful guidance of the craftsmen. Outside the building, there is a landscaped plaza with bamboo and bamboo grass planted. This plaza was inspired by the bamboo species and Kenninji fence that gave the Takehara area its name, and at the back is the study of Meiji scholar Nakamura Mitsuri, called "Kousaikyo," which serves as a rest area equipped with a water fountain and benches.
