This city sports park has a theme of bamboo, the city tree of Takehara City. The Bamboo Museum consists of an exhibition room, craft classrooms, and a Japanese-style teahouse, where you can learn about the ecology of bamboo through hands-on experience, and there is also a pipe organ-style musical instrument made from bamboo. There are walking paths along the ridges of the forest that connect each facility, so you can enjoy forest bathing while taking a leisurely stroll. Stopping by the sea observation deck and mountain observation deck, which are located at points with good views, will refresh your mind. There are about 1,300 cherry trees of about 20 varieties in the park, and you can enjoy the cherry blossoms from mid-March to the end of April. The park is used by a wide range of people, from children to the elderly, with sports facilities such as a multi-purpose ground and gymnasium, a grassy plaza, and comprehensive play equipment for children.
