Along with salt, sake is a representative of Takehara. Takehara's famous sake called Konada of Aki is said to have started full-scale sake brewing from the Kanbun era (around 1670) by a brewing method called "Morohaku sake". The stonework of this well is engraved with the name of Tenpo 3 (1683), and it seems that it has been used as a well for sake brewing since ancient times.
