A famous place for cherry blossoms, one of the eight scenic spots on Itsukushima

Located in the back of Miyajima Aquarium, it is a quiet park with Omoto Shrine at the entrance. Hundreds of years old fir trees grow along the coastline, and it is a rare place in the world where the tide and the aroma of the trees mix. "Ushiishi" near the entrance is one of Miyajima's famous stones, which is said to have been given this name because its shape resembles a cow. Although it is now far from the coast, seawater fills up at high tide and cow stones are submerged in the water. In spring, the cherry blossoms bloom and become a famous place for cherry blossoms on Miyajima, and because of its beauty, it is one of the eight scenic spots on Itsukushima.
