Participatory experience-based aquarium where you can feel the creatures of the sea more closely
Based on the basic principles of healing and interaction, this is a hands-on, hands-on aquarium where you can feel closer to sea creatures. Over 13,000 specimens from 350 species are on display, with a focus on creatures from the Seto Inland Sea, including the finless porpoise that is the symbol of Miyajima Public Aquarium. There are plenty of things to see, including an oyster tank that recreates a floating oyster raft, the largest spacious tank in Miyajima Public Aquarium, and the Contact Beach, where you can get up close and even touch the creatures that live on the shore.
