The beauty of Seto's skerry coast that spreads out below you

Takamiyama is a "national park" with an altitude of 283m, with views from the summit open in all directions, overlooking the Shikoku Mountains, and overlooking the islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea. It is also known as a famous place for cherry blossoms and sunsets, and it is also one of the leading bird watching points where dozens of hawks fly from October to November. Aiming for the Takamiyama Observatory from the "Takamiyama / Tachibana Nature Utilization Village Trailhead" on the Tachibana Coast on the south side of Mukaishima, there is a nature walkway called "Seto no Utamichi", and 22 stone monuments scattered along the road. The poetry of a famous poet and literary person is engraved on.

15 minutes by car from Shimanami Kaido "Mukaishima IC". From JR Onomichi Station, take the bus "Setoda Line" and get off at "Takamiyama Trailhead". 3.2km on foot, about 40 minutes.
