The riverbed with holes of various sizes is a rare landscape created by the flow of the river.
This rare landscape at the confluence of the Oze River and Kushima River is a prefectural natural monument. Over the years, the river has eroded the riverbed in complex ways, leaving small and large holes in the riverbed. There is a legend that a giant snake living on Mt. Mikura ate these holes, so they are called the snake-eaten rock or the snake-eating rock.
