With the Innoshima Bridge in the background, you can see a chalk-white lighthouse and an old-fashioned building. The building was established in 1910 as a tidal signal station on the fast-flowing Mekari Strait, and is now preserved as a lighthouse memorial museum, where materials related to the lighthouse are on display. It is a valuable building that has been designated as a civil engineering heritage site as the only surviving maritime wooden facility, and you can freely view only the exterior. The beautiful chalk-white lighthouse that stands out against the blue waters of the Seto Inland Sea and the nostalgic building evoke the romance of the sea and the passage of time.
