Built in the Meiji Era as a storehouse for the Kadokura family, a former zaibatsu, the observatory from that time remains on top of the building.
Built in the Meiji era as a storehouse for the former financial conglomerate Suminokura family, it was selected as one of the prefecture's 100 cultural treasures. The building blends in with the streetscape of Kami-Shimomachi, and the observation deck from that time remains on top of the storehouse.
