An approximately 800m white sandy beach and sunset views! A leisure spot on Ikuchijima with plenty of art and experiences.
Located halfway along the Shimanami Kaido, this seaside park stretches west of Setoda Town in Onomichi City and boasts one of the largest scales in the prefecture. Its unique location on the Seto Inland Sea offers panoramic views of the floating islands. The view is particularly spectacular at sunset, drawing many photography enthusiasts and tourists to capture the spectacle of the sky and sea blending into a golden hue. The contrast created by the sun sinking between the islands on the opposite shore and the silhouettes of the islands emerging from it is a unique sight.
The beach is also known for its clear water and gentle waves. Marine activities such as sea kayaking and SUP (stand-up paddleboarding) are also easily enjoyed, and even first-timers can enjoy the view from the water with the help of staff. Another unique feature is the "Island Museum," which treats the entire island as a museum, with artworks scattered across the beach and green spaces. Stroll around the park to admire the unique sculptures and experience a unique space where art and nature blend together.
The facility is equipped with a bicycle rental terminal that is convenient for stopping by during your cycling trip, as well as changing rooms and showers. You can enjoy a meal while looking out at the sea at the restaurant, and it is widely used for resting during touring or as a leisure spot for families. There is also a campsite and BBQ facilities, making it a seaside spot where you can spend time freely according to your preferences and purposes.
