Located in the northernmost part of Fukuyama City, this natural park consists of two gorges: Ryuzukyo and Sarunakikyo.
Surrounded by the gentle mountains of the Chugoku Mountains, visitors can enjoy the changing scenery of the four seasons, from cherry blossoms in spring to fresh greenery in early summer and autumn leaves, as well as the dance of fireflies, the sounds of frogs echoing in the babbling stream, and the calls of wild monkeys. In autumn, the view of the autumn leaves from Momiji Bridge is spectacular. Furthermore, Iwaya Gongen, a shrine located in a cave of massive limestone boulders, retains traces of ancient beliefs and is a historically significant shrine. There is also a popular campground for groups and families, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the great outdoors.
