Kosanji Temple, a Jodo Shinshu Honganji temple built by Kosanji Kozo as the family temple for his mother, is open to the public as part of the museum. In addition, the museum's collection, including important cultural properties such as Kaikei's Hokan Amida Nyorai Seated Statue and the Satakehon Thirty-six Immortal Poets Fragment by Ki no Tsurayuki, can be viewed in the Buddhist Art, Modern Art, and Tea Ceremony Art exhibition galleries. The marble sculpture garden, Miraishin no Oka, is also a popular photogenic spot.
