Historical and cultural heritage handed down in Kannabecho is preserved and open to the public, from primitive excavated items to modern folk implements.

Kannabe Town in Fukuyama City has inherited many historical and cultural heritages, and this museum opened in November 1979 (Showa 54) as a facility for preserving, displaying and learning about them. Inside, excavated items from the primitive age to the Kofun period, as well as items excavated from the medieval Kannabe Castle, and folk tools from the modern era and present day are on display. The ruins of Kannabe Castle are located nearby, and the view is one of the best in the area, and in spring the Yoshinoyama Park area is bustling with visitors coming to view the cherry blossoms.
