A gorge with a total length of about 7 km, which was not well known until recently
In 1978, it was designated as a Hiroshima Prefectural Natural Environment Conservation Area because the gorge of the Takiyama River, which is rich in variation, and the excellent view of flora combine to form a good natural environment. The gorge has a remarkable meandering flow, and 30 to 50-meter rock walls and rock towers can be seen everywhere on both banks, giving it a high value as a gorge. Natural forests such as Quercus crispula spread over a wide area in the surrounding area, preserving a rare landscape. Okutaki Sankyo is a gorge with a total length of about 7 kilometers. The gentle road continues, and the landscape created by the pools and rocky areas is a gorge that can be easily explored on foot.
