Guidance hall attached to Mantoku-in ruins built by Motonaga Kikkawa (grandson of Motonari Mouri) in 1574
This is the remains of a temple built around 1574 (Tensho 2) by Motoharu Yoshikawa's eldest son, Motonaga Yoshikawa, to be his family temple after his death. Excavations that began in 1991 have uncovered many remains and artifacts, including the remains of the main hall, the temple quarters, the bathhouse, waterworks, the garden, the remains of a charcoal kiln, woodblocks for the Lotus Sutra, and a bamboo ruler, while also revealing the wisdom and skills of the people who built the temple. On the third Sunday of every month, a demonstration of how to heat a kettle is held, allowing visitors to experience a steam bath. A road has been developed from the Maizuna area of National Route 433, and tourist buses can enter the park parking lot. *Detailed information and excavated items are on display at the Sengoku Garden History Museum. The pond garden has been designated a national scenic spot.
