A dish that is particular about natural sweetfish, which you can enjoy along the river
Located along the Gono River, Kawanoeki is a restaurant that will satisfy your heart and stomach with the blessings of the river and a sense of tranquility. The menu mainly focuses on using natural sweetfish, and the dishes made by local mothers using plenty of local ingredients will soothe your heart. In particular, dishes using sweetfish, which are the restaurant's signature dish, include salt-grilled sweetfish, a sweetfish set meal that comes with salt-grilled sweetfish and homemade uruka, sweetfish udon and soba noodles topped with a whole sweetfish, and a sweetfish rice bowl topped with a rare secret sauce. In addition, the sweetfish sushi, a limited menu item that can only be served at certain times, is a dish of sweetfish marinated in vinegar and placed on vinegared rice. All of the dishes use natural sweetfish from the Gono River, so if sweetfish are not in stock, you may not be able to eat them! In addition, the dashi for the udon and soba noodles is made with dried sweetfish.
