Weeping cherry tree designated as a natural monument in Kitahiroshima Town

The circumference of Munetaka is 3.2m, the height of the tree is 10m, and the estimated age of the tree is about 420 years. Jikuin, which was rebuilt in 1652 and spread the Soto sect, became an abandoned temple in the Meiji era. It was this weeping cherry tree that decorated the garden, and although it fell down due to the typhoon of 1943, it was restored by the power of the villagers, and it still delights our eyes.
