The only sake brewery in town that produces the famous sake "Jinrai"

This is a long-established sake brewery that was founded in 1716 (the first year of the Kyoho era) in the mid-Edo period. The brand name Shinrai (divine thunder) comes from the fact that "long ago, lightning struck the brewery, but it did not catch fire and there was no serious damage." It was also named "Shinrai" because it is located in "Jinseki Plateau," a land where gods reside. In the chaotic times following the Pacific War, we changed the reading from "Jinrai" to "Shinrai" with the desire that "we want people to drink it with confidence." Located at an altitude of 500 meters in the Chugoku Mountains, the brewery is in a harsh environment, with cool summers and temperatures often reaching below -5°C in the winter when sake is brewed, making it an ideal environment for sake brewing.
