The Amida-do Hall, which preserves events from the syncretism of Shintoism and Buddhism, is an important cultural property of the town.
In 1065, a branch shrine was enshrined from Usa Hachimangu Shrine in Buzen Province (present-day Oita Prefecture), and it was then moved to Shoguyama in 1163. The main hall has been rebuilt several times, with the current building being reconstructed in 1961. Within the grounds is the Amida Hall, which was built in 1701. It is a historical building that preserves events from the era of syncretism between Shinto and Buddhism, and is designated as an important cultural property of the town.
