Egesan Park

Egeyama Park is located on the summit of Mt. Egeyama (elevation 593m) in Yano-cho, Aki-ku. From the summit plaza, you can enjoy panoramic views of central Hiroshima City and the islands of Hiroshima Bay. At night, the illuminated Hiroshima Bridge and Kaita Bridge offer a beautiful night view, making it a popular viewpoint.

A new observation deck has been completed at the summit plaza. Designed to be "inclusive," with no steps from the parking lot, it allows many people to easily enjoy the scenery. The view from the observation deck offers an even more expansive panoramic view of central Hiroshima City and the islands of Hiroshima Bay.

At dusk, you can witness a beautiful sunset, followed by the gradual illumination of neon lights, allowing you to see the city's changing appearance all at once.

The summit plaza is accessible by car, and various hiking trails and the Chugoku Nature Trail are also available, offering different routes for enjoying hiking.

Also, near the entrance to Mt. Egeshima, there is the Miyama-no-Taki Campsite (with cooking facilities and toilets), where you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in the spring.

Near the summit, there is a television tower for terrestrial digital broadcasting, jointly operated by all Hiroshima television stations, which serves as a landmark.

At night, there are few streetlights, and the surrounding area becomes completely dark, so it is recommended to head to the summit plaza before sunset.

It is also convenient to bring a flashlight when going to the toilets, etc.
