A spectacular spot overlooking Hiroshima Bay where you can enjoy the night view of Hiroshima Ohashi Bridge and Kaita Ohashi Bridge.

Eshimoyama Park is located at the summit of Mt. Eshita (593m above sea level) in Yano-cho, Aki Ward, and from the observation deck and parking lot near the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of central Hiroshima city and the islands of Hiroshima Bay. At night, the Hiroshima Ohashi Bridge and Kaita Ohashi Bridge are illuminated and the night view is beautiful, making it a popular viewing spot. In addition to being able to drive up to the top of the mountain on a paved road, there are also Chugoku Nature Trails and promenades, so you can enjoy climbing from a variety of routes. There is also a Miyamataki campground (with a kitchen and toilet) near the entrance to Mt. Eshita, where you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in the spring. Near the summit, there is a TV tower for terrestrial digital broadcasting jointly used by all Hiroshima TV stations, and it is a landmark.

By car: From Hiroshima Station, take the prefectural road Hiroshima Kaita Line towards Kaita Town, then take National Route 31 Kumano Farebute, then take the main local road Yanoyasuura Line towards Kumano Town, turn right at Showa Entrance, and proceed about 700 meters towards Yakeyama, Kure City. Picture Shimoyama entrance. If you turn right here, there is a paved road that will take you near the top by car. Public transportation: From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Kure Line and get off at Yano Station, then transfer to the Hiroden bus bound for Eshitayama Iriguchi, which takes about 30 minutes to the final stop. Climb to the top of the mountain from here.
