A symbol of friendship and peace with Germany. A beautiful Western-style garden with colorful flowers.

This garden was created in 1980 with the aim of promoting friendship and cultural exchange, stemming from the shared desire for peace between Hiroshima and Hannover, a city in West Germany that rose from the complete destruction of World War II. It is a sunken garden modeled after a part of the flowerbed in Hannover's Herrenhausen Park.
The garden also represents the city's coat of arms.
