A library where you can follow and enjoy the history of manga

This is a library where you can enjoy manga while tracing its history. We systematically collect, organize, and preserve manga and related materials, and have a total of approximately 155,000 volumes. Representative manga and manga magazines, as well as a wealth of materials for manga research, are available for viewing and lending. In addition to providing various materials, we also hold exhibitions, lectures, and other events with the aim of developing manga culture. Since 1998, we have been holding the ``Interesting Manga Award of the Year'' contest, which is an opportunity for professionals, amateurs, and people of all generations to present their works. The area around the library is famous for its cherry blossom viewing.
