Orizuru Tower

Located next to the World Heritage Site "Atomic Bomb Dome," this facility allows visitors to feel the desire for peace and the aspirations for reconstruction.
From the rooftop observation deck, you can simultaneously view Hiroshima's two World Heritage Sites: Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and on clear days, even Mount Misen on Miyajima Island.
The building was designed by Hiroshi Sambuichi, a Hiroshima native, who is known for placing natural elements such as wind, water, and sun at the core of his designs, and is highly regarded worldwide as a leading green architect.
Through the current cityscape and the transformation of green regeneration visible through the wooden deck and ceiling, visitors can experience Hiroshima's "past," "present," and "future," along with the wind, light, and scenery, and feel the greatness of nature and the importance of peace.
Furthermore, you can throw origami cranes folded with special origami paper into the symbolic "Origami Crane Wall." Be sure to participate in the "Origami Crane Wall," which is completed by the accumulation of thoughts and prayers for peace gathered from all over the world. The facility also features a souvenir shop (Hiroshima IPPIN) offering locally beloved gifts, as well as a cafe where you can enjoy homemade drinks and sweets made primarily with Hiroshima-grown fruits, making it the perfect place to take a break.
