Ueda Songa, known as a tea master, was built as a garden for the villa of the Asano family on the orders of the lord of Hiroshima Asano Nagaakira. The park, which is said to have been named “Shukkeien” because it was created in imitation of China’s world-famous scenic spot “West Lake,” changes its expression throughout the four seasons and entertains visitors.

It is the former residence of the “Chiba family,” which once served as an important post at Kaita no Yado Station, which flourished in the post town of Saigoku Kaido, and now the main house and tatami building remain. You can see wonderful transom sculptures in the tatami room where important people of various daimyo rested. I can only marvel at the advanced technical capabilities of the craftsmen at that time. Stop by spots ~ If you are a gourmet, this is it!

“Kure Reimen” is a unique type of flat noodles with sweet and sour sauce. It seems that the predecessor of “Chinraiken” invented it more than half a century ago as a summer menu where ramen sales drop. Since then, it quickly became a specialty of Kure, and now it has become a soul food for citizens.

    It

introduces the history of Kure centering on the public opening of the former Kure Chinju-fu Commander-in-Chief Office. The walls and ceilings of the Western-style building section of the government building use very beautiful gold karakami paper with patterns of flowers on Japanese paper pasted with metal foil. There are times when the experience of making this gold karakami is done.
