Okunoshima's only beach

Located about a 5-minute walk from Kyukamura Okunoshima, Okunoshima's private beach has a spacious and pleasant sandy beach. You can enjoy swimming with the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea interwoven with countless islands in the background, and if you're lucky, you may even come across some cute rabbits here. During the summer vacation period, there are toilets, showers, changing rooms, and a shop, and rental seats, rental tubes, snacks, drinks, etc. are available for purchase.

[By Car] Approximately 45 minutes by car from Hiroshima Airport to Tadanoumi Port, then approximately 15 minutes by ferry from Tadanoumi Port. Approximately 40 minutes by car from Sanyo Expressway Hongo IC to Tadanoumi Port, then approximately 15 minutes by ferry from Tadanoumi Port. Approximately 30 minutes by car from Sanyo Expressway Kawachi IC to Takehara Port, then approximately 25 minutes by ferry from Takehara Port. *Vehicles are not allowed on Okunoshima Island, so please use the port parking lot if you are coming by car. [By Train] Approximately 20 minutes on the Kure Line from JR Mihara Station to JR Tadanoumi Station, then approximately 7 minutes on foot from Tadanoumi Station to Tadanoumi Port, then approximately 15 minutes by ferry from Tadanoumi Port. [By Bus] Approximately 70 minutes by express bus "Kaguya-hime" from JR Hiroshima Station to Takehara Port, then approximately 25 minutes by ferry from Takehara Port. [By Ferry] 15 departures on weekdays and 17 departures on weekends and holidays from Tadanoumi Port to Okunoshima Island. From Takehara Port to Okunoshima Island: 6 weekday services (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays), 8 Sunday and public holiday services. Omishima Ferry: Approximately 15 minutes by boat from Mori Port (Omishima Island). Rabbit Line: Approximately 30 minutes by boat from Mihara Port. *A free shuttle bus is available from the second pier to the Kyukamura main building.
