The only art museum where you can see the entire work of Japanese painter Tadashi Ishimoto
The museum opened in 2001 as a museum that collects and exhibits the works of Japanese painter Tadashi Ishimoto, who was born in Misumi-cho, Hamada City. Ishimoto's works are introduced in four planned exhibitions per year. The new wing, which opened in April 2010, collects and exhibits works by contemporary Japanese painters whom Ishimoto highly praises as "authentic works with heart," as well as works by artists connected to Ishimoto and artists from Iwami.
