Nagatsuka Shrine in Nagatsuka, Asaminami Ward, was hit by the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945 (Showa 20), 3.69 kilometers from the hypocenter. The main hall was built in 1828 (Bunsei 11). It fell into disrepair after the blast from the atomic bomb, but was restored and rebuilt in 1964.
