Democratic People's Republic of Korea Commemorative Clock

A clock built to commemorate the return of Korean residents to their home country

Based on the Agreement on Repatriation concluded between the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Red Cross Society of North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) on August 13, 1959, Korean residents in Japan returned home collectively and systematically. This clock was erected to commemorate this, and was originally located in the green space south of the City Auditorium (now the International Conference Center), but was moved to its current location when Peace Memorial Park was developed.
