Built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hiroshima City's declaration as a World Federation City.
It was erected on October 30, 1974, 20 years later, to commemorate Hiroshima City's declaration as a World Federation City on October 30, 1954. The tower is a pentagonal pyramid with a side of 4 meters and a height of 4 meters, and the five sides represent the five major states.
