The Former Yamazaki Family Residence is the residence of the Yamazaki family, who served as village headmen in Hikan. It is a designated cultural property of Onan Town. It was built in 1779 by master carpenter Ginzan Ryokawa Tohyoshichi, and its helmet-shaped thatched roof is very rare and is thought to represent the village headman's status.
