It started as a ``hatagoya'' in the era of Yoshimune, and was renovated 20 years ago while retaining the techniques of the shrine carpenters of the 18th generation. The watchtower overlooking the inland sea of Hiroshima Bay and the five-storied pagoda is the only place in Miyajima where you can enjoy the atmosphere and breath of history.
