Shimanami Kaido low mountain trekking ~ Mt. Takami ~

The islands along the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido have many low mountains with great views that have been designated as part of the Seto Inland Sea National Park. Takamiyama, located on Mukaishima Island, has an elevation of 283m and is relatively easy to walk on, with well-maintained hiking trails, allowing you to enjoy the nature of the Seto Inland Sea and the landscape of the many islands up close. On this tour, you will meet in front of JR Onomichi Station and travel to Innoshima Island by bus with your guide. After walking across the Innoshima Bridge and walking along the scenic southern shore of Mukaishima Island, you will climb the mountain trail on the south side of Takamiyama Mountain. From the peak, you will take a taxi down the mountain and then return to Onomichi by boat across the Onomichi Strait.
