Shimanami Kaido low mountain trekking ~ Mt. Takami ~

The islands along the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido are home to many low mountains with spectacular views that have been designated as part of the Setonaikai National Park. Mt. Takami in Mukojima, with an altitude of 283 meters, has a well-maintained mountain trail and is relatively easy to walk, allowing you to enjoy the nature of the Seto Inland Sea and the scenery of the archipelago up close. On this tour, we will meet in front of JR Onomichi Station and travel to Innoshima by bus with our guide. Walk across the Innoshima Bridge, walk along the scenic south coast of Mukojima, and then climb the mountain trail on the south side of Mt. Takami. From the summit, take a taxi to go down the mountain, then cross the Onomichi Channel by boat to return to Onomichi.
