- Expressing "feelings of peace" using "recycled orizuru paper," paper made from folded paper cranes sent to Hiroshima from all over the world -
Approximately 10 million origami cranes (approximately 10 tons) are sent to Hiroshima from all over the world every year. Each one is filled with a wish for peace. In order to connect the wishes of these cranes to the future, they have been reborn as recycled paper called "Origami Crane Recycled Paper".
In the workshop, you will learn the story of how recycled origami crane paper is made, and create a three-dimensional flower motif.
You can use the recycled origami crane paper flower you make as an interior decoration, ornament, aroma diffuser, or accent for other items.
You will also decorate a box made from recycled origami crane paper using stamps, and take your flower home in it.
*Instructions are available in Japanese and English.
