The highest peak in the prefecture at an altitude of 1,346m

Mount Osorakan is 1,346m above sea level and is the highest peak in Hiroshima Prefecture. Behind the summit, in Daidokorohara, there is a forest of giant beech, zelkova and Mizunara trees over 1m in diameter and 20m in height, where you can experience the mysticism and splendor of nature. From spring to autumn, hiking, camping and autumn leaf viewing are popular activities. In winter, Osorakan Snow Park, the largest natural snow ski resort in western Japan, opens, covered in high-quality natural powder snow and bustling with skiers and snowboarders from beginners to veterans.
