A cup born from 150 years of history, inheriting tradition and innovation.
This is a long-established sake brewery founded in 1873 (Meiji 6). It was named "Kamotsuru" after the local place name "Kamo" and the crane, a symbol of noble existence. Since 1898, it has evolved its sake brewing process by incorporating advanced technologies, such as introducing Japan's first powered rice polishing machine. "Special Gold Kamotsuru," released in 1958, is known as a pioneer of Daiginjo sake and remains a long-selling product enjoyed by many. The "First Brewery," registered as a national historical site, features exhibits where visitors can learn about the history and process of sake brewing, as well as a sales corner for sake and other products. There is also a bar where you can enjoy brewery-exclusive and limited-time sakes, offering unique flavors.
