At the end of the Edo period, part of the Umami Yagura, which was built in Nagaatsu Asano's storehouse, was relocated.
This is a wooden, single-story teahouse, and the pillars, room shape, tatami mats, hearth, and furnishings are all uniquely diamond-shaped. This is part of the Umami-yagura (architecture tower) built in a corner of the main building, which was constructed at the foot of Mt. Koriyama as the residence of Asano Choko at the end of the Edo period. It is said that the reason it was built in a diamond shape was to resemble a flag, but it is not clear.
