    When you arrive in Kure, please stop by here first to get tourist information. Also, if you purchase a 1-day bus ticket “1Day Kure Pass” in the Kure city center area and go around the facilities in the city, there is an admission discount, which is convenient and advantageous. The “1Day Kure Pass” is sold for 500 yen for adults and 250 yen for children. Unlimited rides on route buses designated by the central area of Kure City for one day. You can also receive discount benefits such as 100 yen discount for adults at the Yamato Museum, 50 yen discount for adults at the Irifuneyama Memorial Hall, and 60 yen discount for adults at the Kure City Museum of Art.     A museum that deciphers the history of Kure, science and technology such as shipbuilding and steelmaking from real materials. The annual exhibition is very popular, and there are many people who visit it as a set with the permanent exhibition. On weekends, science shows for children and science events with simple crafts are held.

    A special landscape that can only be seen in Kure. In front of the park, ships and submarines belonging to the Maritime Self-Defense Force Kure Base can be seen up close.

    Nearby is a brick warehouse from the naval era, in which you can find a souvenir shop that sells souvenirs from Kure, and a restaurant partner with Kure's Maritime Self-Defense Force to serve their own popular curry.

    Buildings and materials from the naval era are exhibited, centering on the “Former Official Residence of Commander-in-chief of the Kure Naval Station” which was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in 1998. The secretary's office is a wooden one-story building and consists of a Western-style building part and a Japanese-style building section, and “gold paper”, which is rare even in the whole country, is pasted on the Western-style building section.

    Inside Kure gourmet foods, you can find such as okonomiyaki “Kure-yaki”, Kure Reimen, Kureo udon, and Kure's Maritime Self-Defense Force's famous curry in a brick-lined shopping street.

    Also, you can find old-fashioned sweets “fry cake” and “surprised manju” loved by locals, and a coffee shop that reproduce the coffee that was served inside the Japanese battleship Yamato.
