The only waterfall in Hiroshima Prefecture that is listed as one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls! A famous waterfall that falls 126m in three stages

Jokiyo Falls hangs over a cliff of rhyolite that erupted in the middle of the Cretaceous Period of the Mesozoic Era, and is 126 meters high, rivaling the height of famous waterfalls such as Kegon Falls in Nikko and Nachi Falls in Kumano. The waterfall is divided into three tiers, the upper one called Aranami, the middle one called Shiraito, and the lower one called Tamamizu. This waterfall allows you to experience the grandeur of nature throughout the year, not just in the autumn when the leaves change color, and was designated a Hiroshima Prefecture Place of Scenic Beauty in 1960.
