The only famous waterfall in the prefecture that has been selected as one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan"
Josei Falls spans the cliffs of the Ryumoniwa that erupted in the middle of the Cretaceous of the Mesozoic era, and is 126 meters high, comparable to the heights of Kegon Falls in Nikko and Nachi Falls in Kumano, which are known as famous waterfalls. The waterfall is divided into three stages, the upper one is rough waves, the middle one is Shiraito, and the lower one is Tamamizu. It is a waterfall where you can experience the magnificence of nature not only during the autumn foliage season but also throughout the four seasons, and was designated as a scenic spot in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1960.
