A treasure trove of wetland flora and fauna in each season, such as magnolia kobus in spring and Japanese iris in summer!
Hachiman Marsh is located in the Hachimanbara district of Kitahiroshima Town, surrounded by mountains of 1,000m class, at an altitude of about 800m. Raised bogs of various sizes are scattered, and it is almost the southern limit of the distribution of raised bogs in Japan. The average annual temperature of the wetland is as low as around 10 ℃, so you can stay cool and comfortable even in the summer, and you can see many rare animals and plants in the wetland.
The Mizuguchidani Marsh and Kirigatani Marsh, which are close to the Nature Museum of the Geikita Kogen, have wooden paths, so you can easily enjoy a walk.
