    Sandankyo is the only place in western Japan that has been designated as a national special scenic spot in a canyon and ravine. It has received the highest rating of “three stars” along with Miyajima and the Atomic Bomb Dome in “Blue Guide”. In addition to the beauty of the gorge, it is full of highlights such as a wide variety of condensed plants, old trees, and giant trees.

    It is the second heighter arch style Dam in Japan (156 meters) after Kurobe Dam. You can enjoy the huge structure by for example entering the dam by elevator. At the administration building, you can get a dam card that is quietly popular around the dam lovers.

    A roadside station that is convenient as a transportation hub adjacent to the Chugoku Chiyoda IC. “Kitahiro Market”, which has an abundance of fresh vegetables, fruits and sweets harvested in the town, and “Restaurant Hibiki,” a buffet style that uses plenty of fresh ingredients, is very popular.     Yawata Wetland

    Almost all of the wetlands in Japan can be found in the South limit and is academically valuable. Visitors are greeted by plants that vary from season to season, such as magnolia in spring and Japanese Iris in summer. We recommend walking around the Munakuto-dani Wetlands and Kiriga-tani Wetlands near the Geihoku Kogen Nature Museum.

    Located next to the Hiroshima Airport, in the corner of Prefectural Central Shinrin Park, this garden features was created in order to represent villages, moutains and seas of Hiroshima prefecture.     During good weather, you can see the Shikoku Mountains far away, and from Mount Ryuo, you can see 7 of the 10 bridges on the Shimanami Kaido.
