Cave ruins where traces of long-lived life from the Paleolithic period to the Yayoi period were unearthed
This cave ruins was discovered in 1963 in Nagano, Jinsekikogen Town, and is said to have been used as a residence or base. The cave opens to the south, with the entrance measuring 12m wide, 6.5m high, and 10m deep. Relics such as stone tools, pottery, bone and horn tools, accessories, animal bones, and shellfish from various periods from the Paleolithic to the Yayoi periods have been excavated. The excavated items can be seen at the Jinsekikogen Town Jinseki Folk Museum.
