The Harvest Festival is also known as the New Grain Festival. The first ears of rice planted at the rice planting festival are harvested and offered to the altar. Imabari is famous for the Nukiho Festival held at Oyamazumi Shrine, which is held on September 9th of the lunar calendar every year. Also, a sumo sumo wrestler with an invisible rice spirit is dedicated. This single power is designated as an intangible folk cultural property of Ehime Prefecture.
