Stadium design concept
EDION PEACE WING HIROSHIMA is designed based on the concept of “wings of hope” with the aim of harmonizing with the city and becoming a new symbol of Hiroshima as a city of peace.
The large “wings” that cover the stadium will continue to protect the peace that is natural for soccer, and will also connect and transmit Hiroshima's message wishing for peace, which has been handed down from the past to the present, to the world, leading to a brighter future.
＜Peace Wall (“Captain Tsubasa” mural) ＞
A huge mural “Peace Wall” with a width of 8 meters 62 cm and a height of 2 meters, specially drawn by Mr. Takahashi (author of Captain Tsubasa) has appeared. Illustrations of EDION PEACE WING Hiroshima are arranged in frames, centering on scenes from the work where Tsubasa Ozora, the main character of Captain Tsubasa, makes a speech saying “I want to appeal for world peace through soccer” and makes a “soccer world peace declaration.”
The “Peace Wall” is located on the east side of the 2nd floor concourse, and you can visit and take commemorative photos for free. Takahashi's autograph is also a must-see.
The shortest distance to the pitch is about 8 meters, and you can experience a world-class sound and light interlocking production with your whole body!
State-of-the-art production equipment has been introduced, such as the largest 32 m x 9 m main vision in Japan, a ribbon vision with a total circumference of 380 m, 16 moving lights for competition lighting that can be produced in a variety of ways, and audio equipment with a precise design that allows high-quality sound to be heard anywhere.
