Exhibits the fish and shellfish that inhabit Hiroshima Bay and the Ota River, as well as the life and fishing gear of old fishing villages.
The Hiroshima City Fisheries Promotion Center aims to promote the fishery industry in the Hiroshima city area. Among the Seto Inland Seas, the fish and shellfish that inhabit Hiroshima Bay and the Ota River, as well as the life and fishing gear of old fishing villages are exhibited. You can also learn about oysters, which is one of Hiroshima's specialties. Our center holds various events every month. On the third Sunday of every month except November, we hold a "seaside classroom" for children in grades 3 to 6 and their parents to learn about fishing and fish.
